If someone you don't know sends you a file, don't open it before showing an adult. If in doubt, leave it alone; you don't even have to open that email if you don't know the sender. It is better to be safe than sorry. Any file can be contaminated with viruses or tracking -- even pictures. Accepting a file from someone you don't know could give them access to your computer or your camera, and they could see you in your home. It is very dangerous to download files, even from sites online.
