Welcome to the eWarrior workshop, where your child will learn how to be a responsible online citizen! This workshop is intended not only to teach your child about online safety and privacy, but also to start a conversation about these topics at home.
The topics covered on this workshop are:
- Online privacy and sharing
- Online safety
- Cyberbullying
- Viruses, bad files and how to protect your computer from infection
- Creating passwords
- Protecting your identity
- Fake news and critical thinking
The intention of this project is to develop in young people the ability to define what are appropriate behaviors online, but also the ability to teach this to others. If your child has started this workshop at school, you can assist by asking questions and following along with them as they learn. This will reinforce their learning and make them more confident online explorers -- and who knows, you may learn something new!
